Hello to Everyone,

Thanks so much for coming and supporting my Ropings in July!

We had some awesome turn outs and we only look for them to get better!! The Timed Event Rodeo just kept getting bigger & bigger week by week! We really had a lot of fun and got to meet some new people! Thanks to the Barrel Racers and Team Ropers for showing up to see what my ropings were all about! My team and I tried our best to make them successful, well run, along with being fun for everyone. We look to have a Timed Event Rodeo in September. Please check back with this website for all of the details. We will have it all finalized soon.

 We ended up adding $1875.00 to the Ropings on August 24th. We had a great turn out, with a scare of a storm. However, it left us alone and let us continue the ropings! Those of you that were entered and then drew out when the wind picked up ~ well I just gotta say, you missed out! We did not get one drop of rain! We also had a lot of new faces enter, we look forward to you returning back! It was great meeting all of you.

Due to lots and lots of interest, my wife Christy and I have decided to skip our 8th Wedding Anniversary plans and have a Big Roping!! We are going to give away Team Equine Saddle pads to the High Money Winner and Runner up for the weekend! We are going to have a concession stand serving some unbelievably good cake and tasty, tasty food!! We hope all of you will come celebrate with us!! 8 Years??? Wow, can You believe it? We are also looking for some sponsors to give away prizes to winners of the ropings as well!! If you would like to sponsor a roping, please give me a call. We just want to make this a great celebration!

Thanks to Kurt & Glyna Stevenson for allowing us to have the roping at their facility ~ The Cowboy Country Arena in Huntsville, Tx. Okay, don't forget August 28th & 29th, we'll see ya'll there!

Now I gotta do some bragging on some of my ropers for the month of July! Charlie Herrera, congrats to you winning over $800.00 in the #00 Tie-down on the 24th. Randy Roberts congrats to you for making some outstanding runs winning over $650.00 as well. Bud Semien had a great weekend in the #2/#3 winning over $600.00.  Robert Gary way to bring it. He added over $600 to his pocket too! The Broesche Boys ~ Seth and Lance also roped outstanding this past weekend. Seth made the fastest run in his career. Lance, well he won every hole but one in the Team Roping on Friday night. Sounds like the boys are back!! It's great to see all of you.  Jennifer Epps, your two horses and you clicked extremely well winning 2 out of the 3 weekends in the barrel race! I'm glad to see they, as well as many others loved that new ground in the outdoor arena. Thanks again to the Grimes County Fair and Randy Krueger for improving the arena. To the Jr. Breakaway ropers, you really have me thinking about next year's tour? I am thinking of adding a Jr. breakaway to the list of ropings? You were one of my biggest ropings this past Friday. Trey Stegint was the king of the breakaway winning/placing in both on Friday.

 Once again, I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I just want to say THANK YOU to every roper/barrel racer who has entered my ropings/rodeos. It really means a lot to me. My family and I really enjoy putting these on. I also would like to Thank anyone who has ever pushed, untied, fed a calf, or helped out in any way. I see it and your help is very much appreciated.

one more thing, I would like to congratulate all of the talented Jr. High, High School and College Ropers on their recent successes. I hope to write about ya'll a little in next week's column.
